Sometimes our natural human instinct to live in a small commune bubbles to the surface and we don't know what to do about it because capitalism and individualism.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

So on Epstein, the Democratic position should be "Trump should resign." If you are a Democratic elected, practice saying "We demand the president's resignation" in front of a mirror as many times as it takes until the dry-heaving that comes from having a phobia about actually doing politics passes.

Boycott OpenAI and ChatGPT. Starve it. No more, "I know, I know, but I just use it for..." Stop doing that! You did it differently two years ago it's not that hard. The thing needs to die.

People will be mad at me for saying this, but I think we have to do it. Nothing is more important for the future of this country, and indeed humanity, than the app that makes you schizophrenic and helps you forget how to learn. The juice is worth the squeeze.
BREAKING: OpenAI is requesting US government support to help guarantee financing for the massive investments in AI chips and data centers it needs for expansion, per Bloomberg.

Paywalling newspapers. A lot of our current info ecosystem has to do with restricting news for profits. Creating a vacuum of disinfo and "alt-news."

Canadians need to start asking why any infrastructure project takes years and not months. It's not normal.

Militarized white privilege.
WOW! The Washington Post obtained the rest of the body cam footage showing that the drunk-driving ICE agent promised to check if the arresting officer's partner was Haitian. "I’m going to run some checks when I get back." He added that he would have him deported if "not legit."

Toronto votes for Mayor one year from now. Who is our Mamdani. Chow will get crushed by some Ford picked puppet because she's not a progressive. She's a tranquilized centrist with zero ambition holding the position based on the ghost of her husband who died 20 years ago.

I feel like this is historically significant.
I haven't seen people here mention this letter from the mayor of Illinois' 2nd-largest city (Aurora, 40+% Latino)

to the Aurora Police

following egregious attacks by immigration in Aurora and related protests

So here it is!

Probably the best Toronto sports crowd I've ever seen. Chanting all night for everyone, immediately started cheering whenever Trey got in trouble, not a Wave in sight. Beautiful stuff. Let's do it again tomorrow.

The Blue Jays have not played an ALCS Game 7 since 1985. Tomorrow is without a doubt one of the biggest games in Blue Jay history.

Political parties must shift immediately and dramatically to the left to avoid alienating these frustrated and abandoned young women. Am I doing this right?
Our recent poll found that women 28 and younger skew substantially more left than the national average. Nearly 80 percent of Gen Z women want abortion to be legal and seven in 10 want gender-affirming care to be accessible for trans adults.

Glowing after last night. Baseball just writes itself the best stories. Last night was a real life baseball movie. The sport is magic sometimes. No other game comes close.
