I am haunted by this post. I saw it this morning and have been thinking about it all day. Like it’s one thing to do something this stupid in the first place. It’s another level entirely to post it as a PSA on the neighborhood Facebook page.
There is something so deeply, deeply Minnesotan about these sorts of posts (which I see every winter). If you're from almost anywhere else and wondering if you're missing something: this person did in fact leave their car running, unlocked, keys in the ignition.

Traveling for work once again. Sitting in the Lufthansa Panorama lounge in Frankfurt and it’s interesting as it is like a series of smaller living rooms which makes the space more intimate, quiet and inviting. Also it looks directly out onto the gate areas where the 747s come in.

I am furious and devastated that ICE was once again present in Saint Paul and that federal agents continue to jeopardize the safety and well-being of our residents. The destruction this White House has caused our city in just a matter of days is unconscionable.

We are monitoring the situation in St. Paul and working to understand what unfolded. We received no heads up from federal authorities on this operation.
While we are always willing to work together on public safety, that is clearly not what this chaotic situation was about.
