So, here it is. Thanks to a new state law that was NEVER DEBATED, Indiana University has committed itself to abolishing majors in African-American/African Diaspora Studies: American Studies; Art History; French; Italian; Religious Studies etc. DOZENS of majors. www.ipm.org/news-section...

I actually got this driver and his Eagles-themed car on a Lyft ride home one night in April. It was so wild! I wasn’t sure @riversaredamp.bsky.social would believe me so I recorded a bit of the ride to show him. I’ll post my video in the thread.

You’ll likely hear Mucha Nama’s minivan before you see it. From playing “Fly, Eagles Fly” to adorning it with decorations, his Birds mobile is a hit — for most of his customers.

Latin Americanists and foreign film buffs: Trying to ID a Latin American film. Only have a meter of 35mm film. Might be titled PRESTAMOS. Kodak edge code suggests copy made in 1922, 1942, or 1962. Perhaps actors, military uniform, or locale will help with ID.
