I have just arrived here on Bluesky, after what, for many of us, has been a very tough week. The road ahead looks rocky but the Pacific Ocean always offers comfort. May my photo of Point Lobos, one of the most beautiful and unique state parks in California, give you a moment of joy.

I'm grateful for the warm sunny days we're enjoying as many families, including mine, begin gathering for Thanksgiving. Gatherings large or small, with family and friends, or in quiet solitude, I hope all can find reasons to be thankful.

Relying on local leaders to reach families, WCK #ChefsForNavajo teams distributed meal kits to community members impacted by delays to SNAP benefits. Thanks to local community members like Ollie and Tonna (slide 1), who speak Navajo, we’ve reached 1000+ people with groceries to cook with.
