Humans show up in middle earth with language, culture, mythology, just about everything except writing and it's clear the ones we first meet are on the run so it's not like they've had the time to invent that.

I mean, there's "underpin the text" and then there's "the Scourging of the Shire is literally genocide" when the orcs are literally part of an invading army that subjugates the local population to increase profits.

This, to me, speaks more to Tolkien's pastoralism and less to racism? If you don't want to give him credit, you could call this nimbyism.

Isn't this every culture though? The famous Muslim writer who went to visit the Norse was pretty clear that he was an agent of Civilization and those weirdos who all washed their face in the same bowl weren't.

Same with this. Sorry for harping so much on the beginning but part of the reason why there are no Bad Elves is that by the time of the LOTR, all the bad elves have been killed off, permanently punished, or have been reformed (Galadriel was once a Bad Elf)

Same with this. At least, maybe it doesn't if you ONLY read LOTR, but I think if you're trying to get what Tolkien Really Means, he left us other works that explore his ideas more

Maybe you could stop constantly linking us to read something not written by Tolkien and also locked behind a paywall. Most of the people arguing with you have at least read his works and I'm willing to bet Dov has read his and his son's notes.
