Holy, what's happening at #EGPA and #IIAS right now?

Apparently, none from the Steering group will try to run for the EGPA presidency, none will pursue another term, there is no host uni for EGPA 2026 and the same group is establishing a new association "European Network for Public Administration"

It's an EU anniversary again - this time, it's #Schengen!

Unfortunately, on its 30th birthday, the jubilee doesn't look very healthy. Ten member states (🇩🇪🇧🇬🇸🇮🇮🇹🇦🇹🇳🇱🇳🇴🇩🇰🇫🇷🇸🇪) currently have "temporary border controls" in place, some of them since 2015.

And Friedrich Merz now wants to make them permanent.
26 March 1995 | The Schengen Agreement enters into force.

30 years ago 🇧🇪🇫🇷🇩🇪🇳🇱🇱🇺 + 🇵🇹🇪🇸 abolished internal border controls, allowing passport-free movement across their shared borders.🧵🇪🇺
