However, in healthcare practice, designing float pools in a way that also acknowledges the needs of the professionals is the only way to foster their acceptance for such a working model!

This is important work since healthcare in many countries has to move to pooling approaches to deal with personnel shortages. However, pooling so far is often just analysed from the perspective of efficiency for the employer, the employee perspective is often overlooked.
