I like to make, fix & modify things.

I'm gonna be a posting lot of #Warhammer, #BattlefleetGothic and #Gaslands stuff but I hope you'll come along for the ride when I do my #sculpting, #art and #automotive works too!

Bit of a #Nerdling. LGBTQIA+ safe, far as I can be.
This is an Inquisitor-scale (54mm) model of an Eldar Ranger from Craftworld Iyanden, wielding a power sword. The photograph is taken from the front. This is a Battlefleet Gothic miniature of an Emperor-Class Battleship, the HIMS Ark Imperial of Battlefleet Albion. The ship is painted blue and gold, with silver highlights and gunmetal sensor spires and weapon batteries. The photo is taken from the front left quarter of the vessel. This is a Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R, modified for use in the tabletop combat racing game Gaslands (it's not finished yet). All of the paint has been stripped off, a full roll cage has been built in, a driver has been added and it has a double-barreled gun pointing out of the right headlight. The photograph is taken from the front right quarter and slightly above. This is a custom-made miniature sculpted from epoxy putty (Green Stuff) formed up over a brass wire armature. The model depicts a femme nonbinary character walking with a wide stance and a staff into a stiff wind, their left hand held out as if casting a spell. This model is a little shorter than a Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Guardsman. The photograph was taken from the front left quarter of the model.

An old (3E) imperial Guard Sentinel miniature from Warhammer 40,000 customised to carry a storm bolter and chainsaw (on a custom gymbal mount made from a 6mm plastic BB) in place of its original weaponry. The Sentinel is bright red with a subtle Star of Chaos embossed across its armour plates and a small Icon of Khorne painted on an external storage bin in black. An old (3E) Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Guard Sentinel, rigged for light weight and running hard. The exhaust pipes are stained blue from heat, and the original green paint of the Sentinel is tarnished, the armour plates scarred with a mix of combat damage, battering from long use and symbols carved into its surface. There is no rust on the Sentinel which indicates that while it may be old and battered, it is well looked-after. The pilot is calm and collected behind his sunglasses, smoking a cigar and keeping his eyes peeled for potential threats. An Ork Dreadnought of the Deathskulls Clan. As is traditional for the Deathskulls, it is made almost entirely of stolen parts- this one was a Bad Moons Dreadnought that the Deathskulls "salvaged" from a battlefield before hastily patching it up with bitz nicked mostly from the Goffs and Evil Sunz. A Jade Falcon Dasher (Fire Moth) miniature painted to represent the one piloted by Mechwarrior Lan of the Falcon Guards during the Great Trial of Refusal at Tukayyid (as per the Clan Jade Falcon sourcebook from the mid-90s, though there is some debate/confusion as to the actual specifics of the Falcon Guards' TO&E because some sources conflict). Painting the Jade Falcon Clan and Falcon Guards symbols on the hips of this model are some of the most difficult bits of freehand I've done so far.

This classic 1987 (I think?) Heinrich Kimmler, courtesy of @brickie78.bsky.social, is a fantastic opportunity to paint a real piece of #Warhammer history! The end of his staff is missing, which could be a fun challenge for an aspiring modeller.

Photo of a Hot Wheels scale (roughly 1/64ish) light industrial unit set up as a Gaslands team HQ/pit lane garage. This is Myazaki KRE Transmissions (or to those in the know, Big Laura's Trans Missions), the main workshop of Kaiju Racing Enterprises, a Miyazaki racing team on the Gaslands circuit. It is modelled on the kind of standalone light industrial unit that you will find everywhere in the UK (and probably across Europe), with a brick-built first storey and a steel-framed and clad upper half. The unit has a personnel door to the right of the picture, labelled "Reception," and a large roller shutter to the left (both doors are painted grey). The building sits on a large concrete plinth, separated into square blocks with expansion joints. The whole building is very run-down, with obvious rust issues on the upper parts of the building, cracked concrete on the forecourt, gravel aggregating against the walls and greenery sprouting from every crevice. There is a sign above the roller shutter that says in metallic blue allcaps text with a blue drop shadow "Transmissions & Auto Repair - Customs - Racing" and has the Mastercard, Visa and anarcho-communist logos to the right of the sign. Over the reception window and door is a sign reading "Miyazaki - Service - Brakes - KRE Gaslands Racing Specialists" and a phone number- 01634- KAIJU-R. In front of the forecourt is a protective divider, with its own kerb. On top of the divider is gravel and coarse grass. There is apparently a race either on or about to start from in front of the garage, with a number of cars (including KRE's own Dwagon and Godzilla) lined up in front of it. There are a number of cars parked around the garage, and just visible to the rear right of the image is a pile of half-stripped car bodies. The main image (to the right) is is a rear quarter view of the garage showing the two sides not visible in the first image. More of the heavily-weathered walls and roof are visible, including patchy paint repairs here and there. There are two windows along the side of the building, and another two at the rear, between two additional personnel doors, both of which are grey with "No Entry" written on them in bright yellow all-caps. The concrete plinth has been ground down to provide a wheelchair ramp up to each door for accessibility (the weapons officer in one of KRE's cars is disabled, and Big Laura's quite sharp on accessibility). On the left hand side of the building is a stand-pipe feeding the sink and boiler inside the building, as well as the drain pipe coming from the sink and a crude concrete drain leading away from the building. At the upper left of the image is a detail photo showing this stand pipe and drain, along with the door next to it. On the right hand side of the building is another stand pipe with a tap on it, for use outside the building with a hose pipe (for cleaning cars etc). On the lower left is another detail photo, showing the stand pipe and the weeds that have grown up around its base. This picture shows the interior of the unit. At top left is an isometric view of the unit with the roof taken off and the office roof/mezzanine floor removed to reveal as much of the interior as possible. Some of the broad strokes are visible, including the two four-post lifts in the main shop, the mechanism for the roller-shutter door and some of the interior walls etc in the office; notable in this photo also is a set of fire extinguishers just inside the roller shutter on the far side of the entrance, though they aren't fully in focus. The plastic parts are all 3rd Edition Warhammer 40,000 but the mini can also be supplied with earlier plastic parts for a more authentic period look. So I was 100% wrong yesterday when I said I thought I might have finished modelling BUT the final bit was small enough that it didn't slow me down too much today.

You will see the thing I have been working on at dawn on the third day.

I think I may have finally finished modelling.

I have thought this at least twice before in the last two weeks & I know there are some cosmetic details I will need to cut out tomorrow, but cutting out a bit of paper isn't the same as making props.

This was meant to be a quick project.
