This, combined with "vice signaling" (taking pride in antisocial behavior) has given us the reign of the Stupid Asshole, something most people are against, but can only be remedied if we're not too polite to talk about it

I'm no engineer, but sticking a hulking great V16 engine in your low-volume supercar sounds like a significant packaging challenge to me, so I'd love to know more about the decision to fit the one in this car transversely.

The Reborn Christian Grift is one that I feel is simultaneously the most risible and offensive out there but Rob makes a good point here that, without pushback from the church itself, it does risk capture of a significant social influence in the UK.
It's almost annoying how smart the idea is of taking over the Church of England. It's weak as fuck, but has institutional power and loads of assets. And what is the pushback really? Do loads of anti-racists atheists have to join to fight them off? Can they truly be arsed?
