The economic shock therapy that the United Kingdom went through from 1970-1997 exactly the same as what Post-Communist countries went through in the 90s but on a slower scale and this isn’t spoken about enough.

I think at this point the UK has accepted Paddington as the Death Bear, collector of souls. So, I think as a nation we should start smearing marmalade on the eyes of the dead and whisper “fare for the crossing”. It’ll feel weird now but, in three of four generations, no one will question it.

Thinking more about BRTs, the main issue is it is difficult to add more capacity, you have to run more buses as opposed to add more carriages.

A possible solution to this is on guided busways you could use front/rear mounted connectors to connect a bunch of buses together in busy periods.

Reading the Milton Keynes MRT plan.

"Tram like Vehicles"
"Runs on Roads"
"Mostly Segregated Legs"

It is a BRT isn't it

If the Honda E had 200 miles of range instead of 110 it would have sold a billion times better, but also I wouldn’t have been able to pick one up so cheap

Kemi Badenoch has 'stolen the thunder' from Farage - sacking Jenrick before he had the chance to defect.

And of course this is all made worse by the fact that we have a character limit here.

It is really hard to succinctly explain an entire mental framework! But I spend time here trying to find the nugget that is in my brain but isn't yet in other brains.

Regen is broken in my Honda right now and I just did a 25~ journey. Battery barely broke ambient temperature (4c). Taking a while to charge, slowly ramping up from 17kw. At 32kw now after tenish minutes, about 13c

It maxes out at 40~ which this charger is definitely capable of.

I am pretty well into a script titled "you are being misled about renewable energy"

Not gonna pull out studies. Don't need to go over climate change.

Just a simple, plain conversation where we look at the realities of renewables vs. fossil fuels and I say "stop letting Republicans lie to you"
