John Howard is enormously out of line attacking the government over social cohesion. He personally signed off on $500,000 given to far-right race hate group “Advance” (ICYMI): theklaxon.com.au/howard-overs...
Howard oversaw $500,000 to "Advance" - The Klaxon
Liberal heavyweights John Howard and Richard Alston oversaw a $500,000 payment to MAGA group “Advance”, specifically to fight the Greens.

The current read. The parallels with Robodebt are unmistakable.
Hundreds ruined, a government authority captured by its self belief, capricious prosecutions, billions in costs and NO-ONE held accountable.

Plus the risk of ID theft
Gov said social media ban would only affect 16 yr olds. But most Aussies are being asked to perform age verification and some platforms have also restricted the comms of 16-18 year olds. The social media ban has a chilling censorious affect beyond the ban and imposes a blanket of mass surveillance

If we want to “let kids be kids”, and shield them from bullying, the pressure to conform, disinformation, and even potential sexual abuse, why we don’t we ban organised religion for anyone under 16?
🤔
Dead serious question

Donald Trump just removed Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth from the list of free entry days at national parks.

They are being replaced with Trump’s birthday.

Australia is paying $750m to a US prison company and $2.5bn in a secret deal to Nauru, yet the hundred or so asylum seekers in Nauru are starving.
It’s called corruption, and someone in authority should look into it.

Why does the Australian government restrict the number of graduates in Medicine? Lobbying by the AMA or another reason?
Its unconscionable that we loot the Third World for their doctors.
If you judged a country by how it treats it's sick, Australia is falling into a privatisation wealth model.
Medicare and the health system took a 20 year battering by the LNP and now is broken.
What's the ALP with a majority going to do about it?🤷‍♂️
Country areas need more Doctors and more RN's.
