When Carney said "who cares" about whether he is meeting with Trump, I smiled inside a bit. He should not let our Maple Maga Conservatives push him around. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
Carney says he made a mistake by dismissing Trump questions with 'who cares?' | CBC News
Prime Minister Mark Carney said Tuesday he should not have been dismissive of reporters' questions about speaking to U.S. President Donald Trump, conceding he used "a poor choice of words."

It's a bit much to listen to Jason Kenney talk about how running tankers along the BC coast is "worth the risk" when all of the benefits flow to Alberta and Big Oil, and all of the risk lands in BC. Except for the CERTAINTY of increased global warming, which affects all of us.

Motherfucker should come to BC. We’ll show him widespread opposition.
Jason Kenney says he doesn't "buy the notion that there's widespread opposition" from First Nations to a new pipeline to BC's coast.

@snarkysteff.bsky.social Ever thought of adding emojis? 😆
My kid asked me why there are no emojis in closed captions “is it because it’s old?”

“Um…”

“It’s in black and white, that means it’s old right?”

Climate Action Tracker's update on Canada's climate policies is a grim read.

"Our rating of Canada’s policies and action has worsened to 'Highly Insufficient', with the latest emissions projections now higher than previous updates"

THIS: "We should at least have one direct bus an hour required by law."
And BC Transit STILL DOES NOT HAVE A DIRECT BUS to downtown from the airport.

This is ableist, stupid, and befitting of the 1970s. Shame on @bctransit.com. Buses are not about profit, they are about service. We should at LEAST have one direct bus an hour required by law. #yyj @victoria.ca

Trigger warning.

“In crashes, SUVs are more likely to strike vital organs in the core of adults’ bodies & heads of children. Hitting pedestrians above their center of gravity means they’re more likely to be knocked forward & down and then be driven over.”

Plus more likely to hit in the 1st place.

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
