Modeling expectations and strategies is 🔑.
I’m so excited to sit in a room full of adults and be talked at for days, absorbing content will be neither differentiated nor will the delivery be best practice, in hopes that it’ll inspire and prepare me to be the teacher my students need and deserve 🙃

There is no ex ante way to know whether a particular tool has been designed to promote specific lines of reasoning or to sell certain products, but it's a dead certain bet that by using them you are being manipulated in some way

Information is more easily integrated & organized when it's learned in an embodied, situated, social context than when isolated decontextualized information must be integrated & organized as a separate step later on. This is exactly how experiential/constructivist models work to build knowledge:

Optimization in calculus class. Made open-top boxes by cutting squares from the corners of a sheet of paper. Graphed and found max volume. Also looked at a tray (frustum) by cutting kites from each corner and graphed on 3D @desmos.com. #ITeachMath #MathsToday www.desmos.com/3d/juep884q2k
