Trying to stay somewhat chronological for Bris's growth, here's a bit leading up to rescuing Raubahn from Halatali. Bris and Yugiri make a small camp while they wait for allies to return from recon work.

Words With Friends (1/2)

Yugiri sits next to a small campfire on one side of a broken block wall. Bris stands on the other side of the wall, looking away. Yugiri is eating a rice ball and tells Bris she should sit next to the fire to warm up and get some rest. Bris declines, saying she's got a better view of the roads from her spot. Yugiri looks at the wall towards Bris, saying she hopes Bris isn't still blaming herself for what happened in Ul'dah. Then she says if Bris won't sit, will she at least talk to her. Bris insists there's nothing to talk about, but Yugiri inquires further about her accent. Bris explains she lived in a viera enclave until she was a young child. Bris braces her sword against the ground and smiles awkwardly thinking of her childhood. She explains her father changed their names when they moved to the Doman village, and she reveals to Yugiri her original clan name was B'eyri. Having revealed something embarrassing, Bris covers part of her face with her left hand and demands Yugiri forget what she just said. Yugiri says she absolutely will not.

Bris did it before, now it's Kiseki's turn to explain how babies are made.

Interior of a Doman classroom. The students all sit at their desks, including Kiseki. Kiseki sighs loudly, and the teacher asks if something is wrong. Kiseki says the lesson is boring and wants to learn something interesting, as she's already an adult and knows where babies come from. A closer shot of Kiseki as she explains how one of her moms went to space, got a spell cast on her, and then her eye fell out. The eye became Kiseki. The teacher is bewildered by this as another girl in the class blurts out "Wow! Does it hurt?" The teacher is now talking to Yugiri, who is holding her head in her hands, explaining that Kiseki's grades are good but they need to talk about her outbursts in class. Yugiri apologizes profusely. Behind her, Kiseki leans on the desk saying she doesn't think she did anything wrong while Bris is in a hysterical laughing fit on the floor. Yugiri promises the teacher she'll straighten both of them out once they're home.

Wow an excuse to post this set of images again.

Bris's left was gouged in a duel when she was younger so she usually keeps it behind an eye patch. It was bright green, now it's just a blinded, featureless eyeball
Bris grabs at her eyepatch with a weird grin and says "well, if you insist" Bris has removed her eyepatch and is holding open her left eye, revealing the blinded eye beneath it Yugiri has appeared and punched Bris in the back so hard that Bris is flying forwards with a pained expression. Yugiri shouts "quit trying to gross people out with your stupid eye!"

Bris stands just inside the door of her house. She's wearing her usual white robes and black eyepatch. She's holding the hand of a young girl in orange robes. The girl has the scales and horns of an au ra, but she also has pointed ears atop her head. She smiles brightly. Bris calls to Yugiri, letting her know they're both home. The young girl, Kiseki, shouts "Mama!" A shot now of the living room of the house. Y'shtola wears a black sweater and pants, sitting on the couch sipping tea. Next to her is Thancred in white pants and a white blazer with black undershirt. He also sips tea. Kiseki has jumped into Yugiri's arms, saying she missed her. Yugiri asks how her adventure trip with Bris was while Bris inquires why Shtola and Thancred are hanging around. Kiseki is excitedly explaining that she learned how to hold a katana properly and how to drink sake from her mother. Yugiri, looking worried, simply says "She did what?" Kiseki goes on to say she was told she's too young to drink sake still, but if she behaved, Bris would mix her up sugar water as a treat. Kiseki continues explaining that if you add a little bit of salt to the sugar water, it's divine. Yugiri, now furious and surrounded by flames, tells Kiseki to go to her room while a conversation with Bris happens. All that is visible of Bris is her tail coming from off-screen as she says she left something on the dock. Thancred sighs and hangs his head, asking what they're going to do with Bris. Shtola just says this might be more interesting than a report about Bris's adventure.
