In my head, I always hear Bris with sort of a southern US accent. Because she spent something like half a decade basically just being a ronin, essentially, I imagine her just sounding very coarse and gruff.

Bris doesn't really know how to show affection quite that well. Her way of it is just existing with someone while she does things like clean her sword or write haikus or read her old zen-style books. Those are moments where she's "vulnerable," so her letting someone see that a show of trust

Bris laments her clothes feeling a bit tight lately. Yugiri stands to the side and snidely remarks "lose some weight."

Bris, despondent, agrees with Yugiri. Yugiri, on the other hand, realizes what she said was terrible and wonders why she said it in the first place

Bris removes her robe, leaving just her chest wrap and shorts. But she has now instantly lost weight and muscle definition, leaving her much thinner than normal. "I'll just lose weight right now," she says. Yugiri cries, "I didn't mean it!"

Yugiri is out cold in bed, mumbling "no...no..." in her sleep. Bris looks on with a concerned expression and places a hand to Yugiri's shoulder, thinking to herself "poor angel"

A woman struggles on the ground as a village burns. She is backed up against a boulder, face twisted in fear as she raises her hand to block the sight of an approaching samurai, unsheathing his blade threateningly. She speaks:

"This... this isn't fair... Please."

The samurai looms over the woman against the burning sky, flashing his blade from its sheathe. He smiles viciously, and speaks.

"For chaff like you? That's just how life goes."

The samurai is interrupted, face contorted in shock, and jerks violently as a massive lightning-like slash diagonally bisects his torso. He yells out "ARGH!!!"

Where the samurai was previously standing now stands Shiina, who has slashed through him effortlessly, holding her blade out to the side where the cut ended. She gazes coldly where her foe once was.
