This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.

Why is it “harming society”? Because the capital class absolutely needs us to believe that if they lose money we all suffer. It’s why so much of American society is built around making sure the ultra rich can’t lose money.
Jensen Huang of Nvidia, $NVDA, has said relentless negativity around AI is hurting society and has done a lot of damage, per Techspot.
