Never heard of SMX stock until just now and have no idea what is.

That said: compare these views.

In the past two weeks the stock is up roughly 2000 percent. Woo-hoo, right?

Well sure, if you bought it 2 weeks ago. If you bought it 2 years ago, it’s gone from $157,000,000/share to $61/share.🤷‍♂️

THERE WAS, THERE WAS NOT turned out to be a fascinating documentary that starts out being about the lives of 4 women in the nation of Artsakh next to Azerbijan. Suddenly Turkey and Azerbijan invade Artsakh and within a year or so it’s all taken over by Azerbijan. A worthy film. Learned tons.

Here’s a mystery. Experienced pilot takes a small aircraft up from small Sedona AZ airport in July 2020. Loses power, altitude. Makes an emergency landing on a street.

Now, in 2025, fuselage sits along a street in Santa Fe with drunken skeleton inside.

🤷‍♂️

The corporate media are all in on this deception. It’s a complete betrayal of public trust.

The poster for this epic disappointment of a film is revealing: big fancy galleon, fine. But look at the water. Flat. No waves. Thus it goes in this artsy, nothing-happens movie. Oh, also, you don’t see a boat or the ocean until 70min in, in a movie about MAGELLAN.

I walked out after 2hrs. 🤷‍♂️👎

I don’t think anyone ever anticipated the impact climate change would have on police officers. 😁

[What *is* it about British media stubbornly not capitalizing all letters in an acronym? Are Shift buttons on British keyboards more expensive to use? 🤷‍♂️]

No. No. No frickin’ way.

Mt Rushmore is already a disgrace.

According to CNN, the mood of the stock market is “extreme fear.”

According to Warren Buffett, “Be greedy when others are fearful, and fearful when others are greedy.”

Well all those green pre-market futures numbers should give you the shivers. 🤷‍♂️

These frickin‘ AI boosters pop up everywhere like weed infestations. Even #Hawaii has to deal with them.

Weekend read: insane true-crime tale of guy in Honolulu in 2013 falsely accused of stealing a mailbox—a federal felony crime. The federal public defender is initially skeptical of innocent defendant’s story—which explodes into biggest police corruption scandal in Hawaii history. Great, wild read!

Based on police accident site photo, it looks like car was heading west on straight Thomas Rd, past where pavement ends. Was driver going way over speed limit? Was driver suicidal? Did car run over that fire hydrant, tearing battery apart? Does any of that matter to you, Futurism? Hello?

"Only 1 left in stock - order soon."

Eh, I'm not sure. Kinda leaning on "pass."

(I would love to know if BlueSky gets a cut of this ad revenue for a treatment for, um, let me zoom in, ok, "ulcerative colitis." Sounds icky.

This is Twitter all over again. Utterly inept ads, utterly ineptly targeted. Not that I seek better targeting. The only good ad is no ad, but I digress.)

Saw this on the NYT homepage.

I have a growing discomfort with many documentary films because of tricks they pull.

For instance, I just can't watch Peter Jackson's GET BACK because I know he spliced footage, e.g. a Beatle smiling as a reaction shot to something Paul said, but that never happened.
