He wants 'em moved to red states. This is just mobster vengeance, but money is money, and bidness is bidness.

Not all people.

But too many are way too gullible. Too many are easily fooled by AI slop. As are media. Never fails to astound me.

Just say NO to AI companies.

Very cool. Love that movie! Saw it when it came out at the 70mm cinerama Uptown Theatre in DC… vividly remember it. In some ways I liked it more than ALIEN since this was a scifi western, not space horror. The headline of TIME mag’s review back then—never forgot it, sooo perfect: “High Moon”

I’m willing to attend the local event.
I’m wanting to attend the local event.
I’m waiting to attend the local event.

But there’s no way in hell I’m going to attend the local event. No way. Too high a chance that easily-triggered crazies will trash my car. Will not risk it. So I’m there in spirit. 👊

This is some really shitty trickery, Sky Cinemas #SantaFe. If I’d known this was an effing #NETFLIX movie I wouldn’t have paid you $ to see it! But your movie poster MAKES NO MENTION of Netflix or anything else one expects to see in a movie poster.

Compare with an alternative poster.

Sad to see PBS run a story in this propaganda framing. There is no honor here. This is just more lies and fraud, and once again, we see journalists and news orgs played like a fiddle, incapable of telling it like it is in an age of fascism. Thanks for enabling this further, PBS.

The coming collapse of the AI bubble will be sudden and widespread.

There was a semi-famous techie I once heard give a lecture, and one of his tips for success was everyone should include an “Enemies” section in their resume. He shared his own resume as an example. It was… creepy.

Sometimes a review serves as a public service announcement, a Nutrition Facts label for movies, a Surgeon General's warning label, detailing what's really inside. This is one of those reviews. A grateful nation salutes you.

Interesting how many animal shelters and humane society locations seem to have pit bulls and such. Is there an over-abundance of them? Are they the most frequently abandoned/given away breed? Perhaps due to their reputation?

New billion-dollar business: Vibrant, Inc.

1. Raise a billion dollars
2. Buy up all the trademarks involving "vibrant"
3. Sue everyone using the word "vibrant" in ad/marketing copy, PR announcements, to even spoken and written statements
4. ???
5. Profit!

[It's interesting how so many "happy indigenous day" pictures on social media today show what appears to be the desert Southwest. The indigenous population was everywhere, all over the land masses. A good time to check out books like "1491."]

Rest assured "the customer is always right" is not the prevailing sentiment anymore imho. It's more like "how do we completely avoid customers" and then deploying "no-reply" style email addresses, removing phone numbers from websites, and launching "AI" chat "support" systems and useless FAQ pages.

A guy I know used to own 2 restaurants, but found it to be a brutal business almost impossible to profit in. But he loved to cook. So he started a new business making desserts for other restaurants. It grew. It boomed. Nabisco bought it for gazillions. Soon those desserts wound up everywhere. 🤷‍♂️

A better question: WHY is this guy eating fried garbage all over the country? (Maybe don't?)

And a related question: Why would it be surprising that the fried garbage would all come from the same food industry corporation?

It's 2025. It's how this crap works. I don't trust More Perfect Union.

One could argue a greedy, corrupt, bigoted, pathologically-lying, ignorant, desperately clueless, impulsive, wannabe-dictator father also passes on such traits epigenetically to sons.

Male mice that exercise can pass their newly gained fitness on to male offspring.

If the same holds true in humans, researchers say, fathers could help improve the health of any future children by staying in shape themselves. https://scim.ag/47igpZm

They really blew it on that one. I keep imagining an early example of Netflix's internal FlixGPT telling the execs, "uh, sure, audiences love The OA but according to my AI genius, you could be making more money with some stupid reality show" and the execs reeling and immediately cancelling The OA 🤷‍♂️

Gee, great. A social media post, making a firm statement about The Current Situation. Bunch of people liking it. Sharing it. Reposting it. But will it make a difference? Or does it after 24 hours just grind to a . . . full stop.

Idea for a movie:

Jesus returns to Earth, appears in some city in some US state, cops kill him. He reappears in another US state, gets killed again. Over and over he keeps reappearing but Americans keep killing him. Eventually he gives up on US, appears in another country, all goes well.

🤷‍♂️

Wish you the best, Jay.

These statements below are not always true in my experience. Me? I’m not migrating to “creators” *at all*. I don’t trust ’em any more than print journalists these days. Often less so. YouTube? TikTok? Substack? Meh. I’m skeptical of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE these days.
