THERE WAS, THERE WAS NOT turned out to be a fascinating documentary that starts out being about the lives of 4 women in the nation of Artsakh next to Azerbijan. Suddenly Turkey and Azerbijan invade Artsakh and within a year or so it’s all taken over by Azerbijan. A worthy film. Learned tons.

Anyone else getting Spanish-language ads in the middle of podcasts they’re listening to? Just seems so wrong and financially wasted from a targeting perspective, I mean the podcast itself is in English. If I were the advertiser I’d wanna know why is this showing up here?

I have a growing discomfort with many documentary films because of tricks they pull.
For instance, I just can't watch Peter Jackson's GET BACK because I know he spliced footage, e.g. a Beatle smiling as a reaction shot to something Paul said, but that never happened.
