I feel like some higher-ups in charge of Star Trek are always like, "We can't just cater to the established audience, we need to grow and reach new younger audiences" and that's how we get this and the aesthetics of the Section 31 movie but I dunno, man
🚨 BREAKING - New Star Trek: #StarfleetAcademy Poster!

The first season of the new #StarTrek live-action series premieres January 15th on Paramount+

I hate that Netflix is the least worst option but I'm all for depriving the Ellisons of anything they want to get their fascist mits on.

I'll root for Netflix. Im not happy about it, but it's not like I can buy Warners.

Side Note: I wonder how much it could cost to crowdfund buying Star Trek. 🤔
I don't want any major film studio to buy Warner Bros, but seeing how much David Ellison is being so pathetic and whining over not getting to be able to merge it into Paramount really is just showing more to people how damaging the Paramount/Skydance merger has been. Insane.

That's one way to get Ralph Nader mad as hell.
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

It was time a decade ago. It's way past time now.

Enviro studies graduates tell me that the only jobs on offer are in oil and gas.

That is cruel.

They desperately want to be part of building a thriving future, not burning it down.

They have the skills, they deserve the opportunities.
It’s time for the NDP to tell the truth: we must get off fossil fuels fast—with no worker left behind.

Can I have Warner Bros?

I mean, it’s not like I have money to buy it or anything. It’s just that everyone else has owned it and I kinda feel like it’s my turn.

Never Bernie Democrats stands with Cuellar, so they must be primaried.
Trump pardoned Henry Cuellar, the Texas Democrat who was indicted by the Biden DOJ on charges of bribery and money laundering.

We have policy disagreements with the last anti-abortion Democrat in Congress. But that’s not what this is about.

Cuellar is now compromised by Trump and can’t be trusted.

Full of QAnon conspiracy theorists, TikTok influencers, clickbait bloggers, deep state hunters, and an accused pedo.

A student wasn’t “persecuted for her faith.” She failed because she didn’t do the assignment.

If an atheist were asked to analyze a bible passage and turned in, “There is no God and religion is stupid,” they’d fail too.

Academic standards aren’t anti-Christian.
University of Oklahoma student Samantha Fulnecky turned in a Bible-themed sermon instead of an essay and received a failing grade.

She immediately complained to Republican leaders and right-wing media.

Sadly, her pretend-victimhood is working.

Samantha Fulnecky’s Bible-filled essay earned her a failing grade. After whining to Republican leaders, the University of Oklahoma is caving to her demands.

The government can’t shut down a performance just because officials dislike its message — that’s a textbook First Amendment violation.

Florida’s AG is trying to use the power of the state to advance a narrow form of Christianity and punish his perceived ideological opponents.
Florida’s attorney general is panicking over a Christmas-themed adults-only drag show.

Thankfully, the local city council has so far ignored his "unsolicited opinion."

The only obscenity here is the manufactured outrage.

Texas officials keep trying to force religious doctrine into public classrooms, and we’ll keep challenging every unconstitutional attempt.

This class action has the potential to protect all Texas students — because no child should feel like an outsider in their own public school.
Civil rights groups are playing Whac-A-Mole when it comes to Ten Commandments displays in Texas public schools.

But a new class action lawsuit could block EVERY district from putting those displays up, no matter how much AG Ken Paxton threatens them.
