I do think it would be a useful reflex for us to develop as a society where if someone has a clear interest in concentrating wealth then they are presumed to be an abuser of some form rather than sticking with the idolisation that people seem to have for rich people generally

Five trans children died by suicide in 2019-20, 4 in 2020-21 then 22 in 2021-22. This is the truth, from official Government data, that Wes Streeting desperately tried to cover up.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

Confusion and tedium have beset liberal society, which is listlessly making appeals for reforms while admitting the impracticability of anything even approximating reform.

EXCLUSIVE: Reform UK just broke electoral law in Gorton and Denton.

The party confirmed they sent out campaign materials without proper party imprint, something it insists was a mistake.

Disability benefit cuts… not in there either
Cutting jury trials… also not there
Digital ID… no mention
Raising employers NI… nope
Freezing tax threholds… nah
Contracts with Palantir… no

The awful purple Aga. The dog that knows what's coming but can't warn him. The rehabilitation that wouldn't have been arranged had they known what more was to come. This is wonderful

What a bizarre thing to say (KH, not the poster)
"I always believed that, if push came to shove, those titans of industry would be guardrails for our democracy." -Kamala Harris, September 2025

Yeah, see, I believe her when she says this. Which is also why I don't think she's fit for president. Anyone who thinks this is not president material.

In a 40-minute interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Harris also addressed her criticism of former President Joe Biden in her new book.

Reading this remark I made over a year ago, as the entire commentariat fall over themselves asking how it was that this naked and open attempt to brute force a '90s Blairism Redux ha collapsed in a heap of corruption, backhanders, ignominy and self-dealing
There’s a real Sopranos Pilot energy to the whole Starmer project. Earnest desire to do old-fashioned Blairite bungs and backhanders, but people have cottoned onto that game and view its participants with contempt. They prefer the bare-faced gangsters and conmen who stand opposed to Forensic Keith.

Is anybody asking why the questions to Mandelson were devised by Morgan McSweeney and the issues with that?
They asked Mandelson three (3) questions and apparently didn’t follow up on his answers

Who's idea was tuition fees?

[drumm roll....]

Da daaaaaaa!!!

Peter Mandelson!!!

(Mandelson commissioned and accepted the recommendations of the Browne Review - ex BP boss - that called for a massive expansion of tuition fees)
“The combined tuition fees of the entire Question Time panel would not cover my cost for 1 year of uni. Is that fair?”
Oli Dugmore

It’s absolutely NOT fair. This outrageous scandal must end

i hate keir starmer, i hate anyone who defends him, i doubt their critical thinking skills, i doubt their reading comprehension, i doubt their knowledge of uk politics pre 2016 and i doubt they would disown a friend or acquaintance who was convicted of paedophilia.

i also doubt they're real.

Cops were frequently getting caught planting drugs in 2017 because body cameras were new and many of them didn't understand how the technology worked.

When cops hit "record" it saved the 30 seconds from *before* they hit the button. Eventually, they figured it out.
Why Cops Frequently Got Caught Planting Drugs in 2017
Look. All technology comes with a learning curve.

When I see these clowns coming to the defence of all of this I'm reminded of the first chapter of Ralph Miliband's Marxism and Politics when it comes to how superficially liberals view events like these. It's all just politics to be managed and it doesn't go any deeper so don't worry

Milliband's sarnie. Sunak's brolly. Starmer's massive smiling face when confronted with his harbouring of the close friend of a paedophile in a top, sensitive government position against the advice of basically everyone
has someone told him not to smile when this is the fucking news headline
February 5, 2026 at 7:49 PM
Yes, no awful Prime Ministers have ever apologised before. Keep the man who harboured the friend of the most notorious paedophile in the West in his position as he said sorry despite Mandelson having already been forced out several times for corruption

Whenever I listen to Starmer, Reeves or any front bencher I'm always reminded of the people who talk "with a corpse in their mouth". The Situationists were referring to 60s Stalinists but the phrase is so fitting when you listen to these appalling professional-managerial class zombie apparatchiks.
