I think telegraphing RFK Sr.'s hatred of Jimmy Hoffa as hatred of unions broadly is far off base.
Reading In Love With Night and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. makes a million times more sense now. His dad was an amazingly awful human being who adored McCarthy and hated unions with a passion.
