A little bit about me. My most recent role was as a visiting adjunct lecturer at the Kennedy School. I taught a data-immersive policy course that asked students to map the criminal legal system, query how agencies define success, and analyze whether the system is meeting its self-defined goals.

There are almost as many survival fundraisers from Americans in my timeline as there are from Palestinians. I'm not saying this to shame you, I just really want Americans to understand the imperial boomerang. What they do to others they'll eventually do to you.

I don't think its really coming through on Bluesky how dire the situation in Gaza continues to be. I wish there was a way to get more of the news from Gaza that shows up on other platforms onto this one.

One of my favorite things is to jot off a note to someone whose work I appreciate. It is nice for the writing process to be two-way on occasion and to put some positivity into the world.
Just got an out-of-the-blue email from another writer whom I don’t know at all complimenting me on the lede on a review I published months ago. Feels great!

And is a good reminder (to me) to send that note of appreciation when the impulse arises.

(Here ends today’s earnest post)

Literally have not seen one single Gazan family with a GFM on here I would feel comfortable calling a scam in 10 months (I did see one NGO recently). Most have verified their identities or are willing to in so many ways. It is completely worth the risk imo.
I also like to think of it as - 1 share of scam is worth many shares of real people. We should start there. & it’s rare to see scams on here.

Reiterating that there are more Gazans here and they are more persistent in posting their links because there has essentially been no flour in all of South Gaza for well over a week. It is also cold. Please treat them how you’d want people to treat you or your family in a famine.

The consultants who thought trotting out Liz and Dick Cheney endorsements would help Kamala’s campaign should be yeeted into orbit.
