The sudden dismissal of Gen. Haugh surprised a lot of people - and at the behest of someone as unserious as Laura Loomer, of all people! Such a serious role requires well-qualified individuals, and Gen. Haugh was certainly that.

Any Democrat who did this would have been in jail by now. Hegseth, Waltz, and for that matter - Vance - should all face calls to resign.

A further blow to the US economy, but perhaps more importantly, a serious blow to our global influence.
The rest of the world, realizing that we elected Trump for a second term, has decided that they cannot count on having the U. S. standing shoulder to shoulder with them in a fight. They need a partner that they can count on and the United States is no longer that. They're going their own way.

Two Republican senators told me tonight this vote shows they can execute the same strategy again — cut Democrats out of the negotiations on a gov’t funding bill, pass it thru the House, and expect Senate Dems to back down and not filibuster it.

My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR.
My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down.
I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.
I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

The Democrats should not participate in a govt in which they were not consulted. Do not vote for a CR that does not align with your policies. When a shutdown happens, remind the country that the GOP can either consult with Democrats or vote to repeal the filibuster at any time.

Military aid to Ukraine has always been a bargain for the U.S.
We degraded Russia’s armed forces and replaced our own stockpiles with brand new weapons, all while brave Ukrainians— not Americans—fought the Russians off.
Halting that aid is not only morally repulsive, it’s plain stupid.
