Valve could easily lower their 30% revenue cut for small games and it wouldn't cost them much (Apple and Google do 15%) but Steam doesn't have any strong competition and devs want to be on Steam either way. IMO if indies got slightly more money, there would also be more viable games to compete with.

How long are we going to be deprived of the FFVII Rebirth Original Soundtrack PLUS!? There's an absolute hoard of unreleased music that goes as hard as any of the tracks selected for the main OST release, and that's already 8 discs long! What an insane project, I'm obsessed
