You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

We have a tendency in weather to focus on the shiny object. Right now that shiny object is the cold, which is elusive.
The reality: over the past week, the US has seen a Blow Torch. 100s of heat records to just a dozen cold. The heat continues through midweek.

I’ve been in a room with Putin. He calls Ukrainians “Russians with accents.” His real fear isn’t NATO expansion, it’s democracy expansion. It shatters his entire argument for dictatorship at home. Because if Ukrainians embrace freedom, Russians may demand the same.

Missouri voters overturned a complete abortion ban at the ballot last year.

It is still difficult to receive reproductive care in the state because the Missouri GOP doesn't give two shits about the will or the voices of Missourians.
