I think the world feels less stable and less predictable. From pandemics to war and economic instability, it creates a feeling of danger and uncertainty. We feel it and it is easier to attribute the cause to something we believe we can have more influence over.
This is a fundamental problem for government. Crime and immigration are both falling, but people *think* they're both going up, and vote on that basis.
I grew up in London and I'm back there now and I can honestly say that I *feel* the difference in crime rate compared to when I was young. It is very strange to me that Londoners report feeling like the city is dangerous, it absolutely feels safe to me. I like it!

One advantage of starting up fresh as a solo freelance worker is I get to start with a clean slate. For me this means achieving inbox zero. How long can I keep it up?

Anyone else noticing American companies (especially game companies) are getting less and less reliable for UK and European delivery. The customer service seems to boil down to "we are prioritising US customers". Seems clear what they think of us

My wife has an electric car through work and I wonder who will end up paying the 3p per mile new UK car tax. The electric cars tax will be more than our 20 year old gas burning toyota road tax. Pay per mile pricing was inevitable but I'm not sure they have hit the right price point

An advantage of flying the long way round back from Japan is seeing greenland from the air, the northern lights out the window and technically crossing off the bucket list item of circumnavigating the globe.

With Green vote intention rising in the polls. Will we see news and media organisations giving greens the same air time as they have for reform? The argument was always Nigel should be interviewed because whilst he has only a handful of MPs. Voter intent is high. Therefore more Green coverage?

Every bit of public health news from the USA at the moment makes me hope the UK has contingency plans for if they start the next pandemic. Need to be ready if they are turning their country into an experimental petri dish.

The UK head of the equality commission speaking on radio 4 is either ignorant or wilfully misrepresenting who is covered by the protected characteristic of gender reassignment. By malice or incompetence she shows her bias.
