This administration doesn't see actual human beings; they just see opposition and a place they think they can take power away from those who disagree with them. But they underestimated Minnesota.

I'm reiterating what other Minnesotans are saying: no matter what the news is reporting, nothing has tangibly changed on the ground. ICE is still out patrolling the streets, they're still looking for people to abduct, and they're still threatening observers. Do not let up the pressure.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

Wow! Yay! The Senate just rejected Trump’s proposed science cuts, voting 82–15 to boost funding for NOAA, NASA, and the NSF. The bill already passed the House 397–28. Strong bipartisan support for science still exists.

One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.

At least four videos show what really happened when ICE shot a woman in Minneapolis. Shots clearly fired while vehicle already turning away from the officer. But DHS lied. Trump lied. Noem lied. Even judges have catalogued DHS' serial lying

I'm fine, just crying at my desk ... this is a beautiful article.
I met Melissa Hortman in October of 2024. She was smart and kind. I heard about her murder in a LA hotel room and it dropped me to my knees. So I went to Minnesota and talked to her kids, parents, and friends. This is not true crime, this is Melissa in real life. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Will be interesting to see how these cases play out - I suspect we will see more and more cases of "free speech for me but not for thee". I hope the courts will stand up for free speech for all, even those they disagree with.
New post by Randy Evans: Will these Iowa districts accord their teachers and coaches full speech rights, the way the U.S. Supreme Court did for Coach Kennedy? Or will the districts claim some new exception applies for comments about Charlie Kirk?

just talked to Gov. Pritzker who dared President Trump to “come and get me” after POTUS threatened him with arrest. But Pritzker said he thinks Trump will chicken out.

Turns out we all got screwed. Even the farmers who voted for him. Imagine. Who could have predicted this - oh wait!
Wow so Iowa farmers are literally on their last leg at this point because the Soy beans that they used to sell to USAID isn’t happening since Trump decided to cut the program to feed starving children abroad and China said screw you we will get our Soybeans from Brazil! 😡
