I've talked before about power struggles within hardening authoritarianism. Usually, regime supporters fight over using rule-of-law in crackdowns (with massive abuses, of course) vs. completely embracing extrajudicial methods. Here, we see the latter dominating. Which is very bad news going forward.
🚨BIG changes happening -- ICE leadership is being purged tonight. The old guard, which prioritized targeted enforcement operations aimed at people with criminal records, is being replaced with Border Patrol and Gregory Bovino's "Midway Blitz" style.

Ok this is bad. She had a marijuana possession charge from 3 years ago in Texas and they’re using that to declare her “illegal”.
Saying she can either self-deport at her own expense, or she can wait in a men’s prison to fight her case.

The most impactful thing currently happening is the weaponization of law enforcement to target people. It will have the most chilling and long lasting effect. And I said when Ras Baraka was arrested and then LaMonica McIver was indicted that the Rubicon had been crossed. Full on federal fascism.

Everything is shit and fascism is here and we're not going to be saved; we have to fight it together. Go volunteer at a local food bank or library or something, joining existing networks will save you time and energy and show you how those connections look and feel if you need to rebuild them later

Joking aside, I’ve been to some of the hardest places on earth and seen immense suffering, and I believe we are closer to a beautiful life than many of us think. One thing I see consistently, even amidst war and death, is people taking care of each other without expecting anything in return.
We must believe a better world is possible.
despite everything, i still believe in the potential of humankind to create utopia. but it will require hard work, courage, and above all else extremely deep v-necks that go almost down to the dick
