I propose this as a change to our election laws. From now on, everyone running for office shall be forced to perform a song, do a live reading from a novel or poem, a monologue from a play, paint a picture, something useful. Then we vote.

As soon as I heard Peter Thiel was doing lectures about the Antichrist, I figured it was time to talk with @gilduran.com again — and he did not disappoint.

This is a great conversation not just about the Antichrist talk, but the broader project of Thiel and his fellow tech billionaires.
Peter Thiel is obsessed with the Antichrist — but what does he actually mean when he talks about it?

This week @gilduran.com joins @parismarx.com to discuss how Thiel casts his enemies as the Antichrist to distract from Silicon Valley’s anti-human project.

Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running.

This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

This is a small part of why I got out of the ad business. I never had to do anything this dirty, but it's not just the oil companies. Everybody that touches this shit is complicit. The account managers, the creative team, the team that traffics the crap. Everybody that touches it is guilty.
Big Oil is using native advertising to "disguise their ads in news outlets" and promote "controversial technologies like carbon capture as climate solutions, portray fossil fuel companies as climate-friendly, or misrepresent their role in the energy transition" finds author @commscholar.bsky.social.
