My ol' pal Ian Smith stars in this forty-year old film, this backyard blockbuster, this thrilling three-or-so minutes... IAN OF SPACE! 🧵 1/4 #shows
'Bjo Trimble: The Woman Who Saved Star Trek' ... Chuffed to discover she's 92 and counting. High profile fan, writer and apparently also a makeup artist – I saw her name roll by tonite on 'Flesh Gordon' no less startrek.com/en-un/news/bjo-trimble-the-woman-who-saved-star-trek

Doctor Foster season 3 with Suranne Jones 'in the works' after 8 years
Could it mark a return of the hit Suranne Jones drama?

I'm becoming less bothered by reprehensible tabloid covers as I think their influence has done a lot of waning. I am, however, becoming increasingly irritated with the sharing of tabloid covers by those who aren't content to let them wane into oblivion 🌘

ON THIS DATE *61* YEARS AGO a young #LeonardNimoy and #MajelBarrett came into #Desilu for the *first* pass make-up takes for their complex (!) alien looks at the start of filming #StarTrek 's “The Cage” (or is that tinged light green testing for Susan Oliver’s Vina? 😉)

Never forget your ballet's privacy is quintessential. Discuss people, voice stands on issues, but that ballot, in that moment, is for you and for tallying and not for divulging. And for as long as its privacy isn't violated, it's where you can help create a parallel universe where things are better.

Thought I'd add a few old DWM bits to my blog. Starting with the, um, memorable day I spent touring a Nottingham factory with John Levene. #DoctorWho
Inside the factory with John Levene
Why is UNIT’s Sergeant Benton celebrating 50 years of active service with a tour round a workshop in Nottingham? DWM tagged along to find out. In 1973, John Levene was filming Doctor Who in a Welsh…

In 1981 I taped Image of the Fendahl to audio cassette. When the DVD was released, I never bothered with its subtitles. Shortly after, I started eating Swede, having never et Rutabega before then. And all along, I had found Adam Colby's insult indecipherable until #TIL it's 'swede-bashing cretin.'

Just taking a moment to appreciate these wonderful pictures of Tom Baker with @louisejameson.bsky.social & friends at his MBE investiture this week. How does he get *more* like the Doctor the older he gets? #TomBaker MBE - it's about time.🧣🏅

Just a week to go until the Celestial Toyroom Annual 2026 is available! www.dwasonline.co.uk/ct_annual One of the most fun parts for me was recreating the cover of the 1983 Longleat Celebration programme, which as far as I know was only ever a b/w photocopy.

"Third state" of existence between life and death confirmed by scientists
While this may seem like pure fantasy, a recent study suggests that a “third state” of existence might actually be present in modern biology.

Film scanned to HD really gives Pat Gorman some proper closeups in the slightly embarrassing Blakes 7: Deliverance. For some reason i always have to poke at my memory to jog Pat's name out of it. So I found two big collages of Pat Gorman in Dr Who in the gallery, on Toby Hadoke's Pat Gorman article.
Pat Gorman - Who's "That Guy" - Toby Hadoke - Comedian, Actor, Writer
In issue 537 of Doctor Who Magazine I had the opportunity to pay tribute to Pat Gorman. He was the ultimate I-Know-The-Face-But… performer – a familiar figure to TV watchers in the 60s, 70s and 80s, h...
