A few months before I transferred to music school, I had to give a 25-minute presentation on a topic (including a PowerPoint) that I had only prepared for 90 minutes before said presentation (I had forgotten about it). I have always considered this my “bullshitting final exam.” I got an A- 🎓
This sounds like a bit but I’m being serious: kids using chat gpt for their homework are denying themselves the invaluable experience of learning how to bullshit their way through a problem. You drink some caffeine the night before and figure it the fuck out. That’s a skill. You need it in life.

Ferris Bueller’s score is underrated! Super eclectic (esp the original du-op “Jean is Shawna” song), great big band cue for Rooney, the Ferris running home cue is so cool—never hear this score talked about but it’s pretty timeless even with its healthy dose of 80’s synths. Ira Newborn 👏👏
