The statement "climate adaptation is indistinguishable from efforts to improve human welfare" is the sign that someone does not understand the magnitude of the planetary crisis we face — or how human systems actually work within the context of the climate and biosphere.

One of the best pieces of advice that I got from a talk about PR reviews: Be the first reviewer for your own PR. I still need to remember that advice more often. But whenever I do, I spot at least one thing that I instantly need to fix, even if I thought I was super careful before.

Could be my confirmation bias, but it seems like the AI hype is crumbling. I see more critical or at least more realistic comments from people who have been part of the hype before. The bubble is also becoming more obvious, which definitely helps.
