Playing about with backlight mod hacks for the original WonderSwan. Neither are perfect, but it's so hard to see without some help (or the Sun on your shoulder).

Very strange that the Guardian would publish an article about the “toxic power struggles” within Your Party, and not once mention MPs Iqbal Mohamed and Adnan Hussain leaving the party - widely believed to be over bitter arguments about trans rights.

My blog has a CSS file (".less" … no less) that has over 2,000 lines of code.

The file started *at least* in September 2014, and I'm fairly sure I've not deleted anything since.

I should probably sweep that back under the carpet!

A bit of a vulnerable post by me but we need your help to get us through what has been a more difficult period than 2020.

It would be really appreciated if you could read and share in your networks too 💛

It’s been a very hard year - Andy Bell
Unlike a lot of places in tech, my company, Set Studio/Piccalilli has no outside funding. Bootstrapped is what the LinkedIn people say, I think. It’s been a hard year this year. A very hard year...

Sending my first pull request to an external project where copilot did the bulk of the work (though I did review, refactor and carefully manually test).

I feel about 80% unclean about it, but I would have written the same code…

I tried to be sooper transparent though: github.com/valerio-vacc...
Support multiple images in sending mastodon posts by remy · Pull Request #9 · valerio-vaccaro/node-red-contrib-mastodon
Hi there, I've started using this project for sending mastodon post, but I wanted to support multiple images. I initially had copilot do the ground work then refactored some of the code myself ...

Not sure how mentions are going to pan out, but I have a fairly solid cross posting system from bluesky to my mastodon account (including images with alt text).

Then there's the question: if this is automated, how often am I going to drop by front-end.social to see what (other) friends are up to?

Does bluesky allow for multiple images? (I think it does)

Bit of a headache, especially to debug, but I think I've got a bluesky to (my own) mastodon account cross poster working using node-red (rather than a mirror process with bridgy).

Why node-red? Because my home assistant is always running, and node-red can run there.

(sorry for the test messages!)
November 26, 2025 at 12:18 AM
Okay. I've invented a rather over the top (read: redundant) wheel.

If I've read the manual right, I "just" use bridgy and this post should work its way across to Mastodon.

(sorry for the noise!)

Kicking the tyres in node-red (after many years), and seeing if this post manages to cross it's way to my mastodon account.

Today I discovered THREE copies of Photoshop on my desktop: 2024, 2025 and 2026 … which, hasn't happened?

I should really cancel that account, especially after I paid for Affinity _and_ it's free now.

Having fun with scroll-target-group and soooper close to sticking my foot in it's mouth.

It works. It doesn't work. It works. It doesn't. It works. There's a cat on my head. It works. A horse walked in. It doesn't work. Actually it's a butterfly. It works. It's a margarinefly. It doesn't work.

💡 Cut energy bills by ending profiteering
🚰 Cut water bills by bringing water into public hands
🏠 Give councils the power to control rents
