They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

You ever have a dream about someone your waking mind has completely forgotten?

Brain: Remember Tommy from 2nd grade? No? Well, what if you and he had to escape from a barbershop slowly filling with shaving cream while being chased by gum ball machines filled with wasps while your grandma hums WAP?

Many normal people will believe almost any fantasy with only the vaguest intangible hint of actual possibility while simultaneously rejecting accepted science or history for containing the barest reproach of absolute certainty because both habits make them feel special and in possession of a secret.
I'm literally just living a normal life while also experiencing a theophany via communication with the satellite called VALIS.

When I read this novella in submissions, I knew we had to have it. The story is dark and timely, focusing on damaged systems: bodies and planets, human and animal. We are more alike than not, every person a world being ravaged by changing climates: environmental, emotional.

If you like an author’s work, tell them. Buy their work. Follow them home and make them dinner. Spaghetti and meatballs. Or maybe something with shrimp. Run them a bath. Not too hot. Buy them a sea monster toy for the bath. Rrwarrr! Feed them grapes. But not in the bath. That would be weird.
