If this is about magdeburg, they made a number of unforced errors. Tilly repeatedly offered surrender on terms which they rejected because of a pious legend that they were a "holy city" of Lutheranism and nothing bad would happen to them.
You could lean hard into the brutality with a story - mission in the Thirty Years War where you fortify a city to hold out a given number of months only for the debrief screen to tell you the city was razed - the king had no intention of relieving it, but needed time to stage his own offensive.

Muuten olen yhä sitä mieltä, että Sanoma on huonosti johdettu firma, jonka johtotehtävissä alkoholismi ei ole nykyäänkään aivan tavatonta, perusymmärrys suosittelujärjestelmistä ja tällaisesta on aivan hakusessa, eikä kykyä tai mielenkiintoa maksaa palkkaa kenellekään, joka niistä ymmärtäisi, löydy.
