I'm not a @spectacletheater.com volunteer (unless you count my "work" in their early-Covid chat streams), but I am (slowly) working on LTRBXD lists, by year & what's in their Vimeo trailer archive (w/ links), of what's (kinda) played there

here's (part of) 2011: letterboxd.com/falsebinary/...
Spectacle Theater Trailer Archive - 2011
A list of some of the films screened by Spectacle Theater ("a collectively-run screening space in Brooklyn, NY") in 2011, based solely on the trailers uploaded to their Vimeo page, ordered semi-chrono...

A while back I was on @severinfilms.bsky.social BluRay of “Viy”, talking about Russian/Soviet horror & scifi. Here’s a @letterboxd.social list of the films I mentioned, plus more. It’s still very incomplete, so I might expand it, but it’s a sort of starter pack to the subject. boxd.it/QjiKI/detail
Russian/Soviet Folk Horror/Sci-Fi
A while back I was an extra to Severin’s Blu-Ray of Viy, talking about Russian and Soviet horror and sci-fi. Some people were nice about it, especially the number of titles I mentioned. So I thought I...

When I was in middle school some boys in the locker room said if you laid on one arm until it was numb and then touched yourself with it, it was like being touched by someone else. Scientists say it's time to consider whether they're onto something.

Steam's practices of banning games with little explanation and no course to appeal frankly Fucking Sucks. I'm trying to finish a video on another game that was also banned this year and, like here, unrelated to reasons with the payment processor fiasco. It's an awful trend.
Our upcoming game HORSES was preemptively banned from Steam, with no path to appeal. The game will still launch next week on December 2nd and will be available on EGS, GOG, Humble, and Itch for $4.99. Here is a detailed FAQ covering what happened: horses.wtf/BannedFromSt...

This is my absolute favorite photo of Udo Kier. Taken at Smitty's BBQ in Lockhart, TX in (I think) 2002 when he visiting Alamo Drafthouse's original location for screenings of Dracula and Frankenstein.

I found this movie more “interesting” than “good,” but it features Udo Kier (RIP king) at possibly his most beguiling and unhinged (& also his most bathed) boxd.it/15U
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne (1981)
In 19th century London, a sex maniac sneaks into the engagement party of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Miss Fanny Osbourne, turning the event into a nightmarish whirlpool of murder and debauchery.
