I actually think this is wrong and very reductive. That the number system commonly used in the Anglosphere is Arabic isn't such common knowledge. What this whole fuss actually indicates is a reflexive racism, which is much more pernicious

Well what the fuck are they liable for then? What do Open AI think it is that they are selling? Their product is an organisational assistant that can tell you to kill yourself, but they get to profit off the former while the latter is none of their business? These people are fucking repulsive to me

Robert Jordan has a really stomach churning fetish for writing about noblewomen forced to pretend to be servants for some reason or another mentally learning the habits of servants against their will. It happens in like half of the books, it's really gross
Started book 10 of the Wheel of Time and holy shit. I'm about 80 pages in and it is breathtakingly boring. Many of these books are a slog in whole or part, but this one is on another level. A tar pit of a book. Just an endless parade of characters I neither know nor care for
