It's fascinating that medics are making the effort to switch to anaesthetics with less greenhouse effect while people are driving alone in SUVs
When you go in for a medical procedure, the gas putting you to sleep may also be warming the planet. That's prompting regulators and hospitals around the world to move to less-polluting alternatives.

Anyone know why there is no Uber Electric option in Ottawa? Uber Green doesn't exist anymore so I can't even try for a hybrid.

In the past month 3 transport routes have collapsed - but they aren't roads so don't make national news. All 3 have the same root causes, climate change, and Tory austerity passing responsibility for critical infrastructure on to charities and councils. This will happen more, and people will be hurt

Anyone else heard this:
"I won't change to an EV until the infrastructure is there to support it" but same folks "Why build bike lanes that no one is using?"

This is a great article. Although it's from 2021 I challenge anyone to read it and not change their habits when travelling on / around the roads, regardless of their position in the user hierarchy. "SMIDSY" is, sadly, a well known term in the UK.

Lansdowne 2.0 doesn’t give Ottawa what it needs. The plan is built around the limits of a public-private deal that leaves the city with hundreds of millions in new debt for a project that won’t serve residents well.

All of this.
There's lots to mull in this Citizen article exploring 417 congestion. All is not hopeless but there are challenges. Transit is the key to quicker commutes. Restoring and then improving transit will help speed everyone along.
Why is traffic so bad on Highway 417 in Ottawa?
Here's everything you need to know about how construction, unreliable transit, and returning to the office have made getting to work worse.
