I don’t really know what I expect in posting this, but maybe some people see it and can learn from it.

I’ll call it “lessons from an unwilling immigration attorney.”

This question is weirdly hard, bc the starting place itself is a result of anti-trans propganda shaping the debate.

Trans surgeries, for all ages, are vastly rarer than hormone therapy only, which is itself rarer than social adjustments alone.

Youth trans surgeries are *incredibly* rare.
Genuinely curious: I thought that was the general guidance all along? Puberty blockers or hormone prescriptions for youth, but surgery later on?

It’d be nice if Bluesky had a pronoun field and had an option to have pronouns displayed in the feed, like the now deleted pronoun labeler.

I’ve had to be way too involved on prior authorizations for my care. That includes renewals of existing treatment and even calling while admitted to the hospital.

And as bad as the insurance companies themselves are, the PBMs they use are even worse.

It’s a hostile, unethical system all around.

The Democratic Party is what needs “commonsense reform.”

Abolish ICE and DHS. Arrest and prosecute every single person involved with these crimes. Skip the queue and throw the ringleaders directly into prison.

And chuck Chuck and every other congresscritter that enabled these crimes out of office.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

Rep. Castro was my congressman for the entire time I lived in Texas, until I moved to Minnesota in December.

It’s heartening to see both my old rep and my new one (Rep. Omar) fighting against these atrocities.

I’m so glad Liam is home.

Abolish ICE.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Uh, Senator, are you aware that our state is under occupation by a violent federal paramilitary force that is kidnapping and murdering people?

Do ya think that maybe that’s just a little more important to us than, say, coffee prices?

🤦‍♀️

Another example of why there’s no reforming this. Abolish ICE and prosecute every agent.

Being autistic or having any other disability doesn’t diminish our humanity.

Lots of folks getting radicalized by the snow across much of the country right now. What gets plowed, when it gets plowed, and how often it gets plowed reveals a lot about your city's priorities and who it values.
Watching cars speed down cleared streets while watching pedestrians scramble over three foot high snow banks or having to walk in the street to avoid uncleared walkways has the War on Cars part of my brain very activated

in re: spoon theory

never give your last spoon to something that won't also refuel you. it's not procrastination if you have nothing left to give.

you need gas to get yourself home, too
don't make a trip that leaves you stranded.

(I'm mixing metaphors, but hopefully I'm making sense.)

This is a blatant promotion of the genocide of trans people. Just plain evil and built on a stack of lies.
1. In a major new federal rule, Trump is attempting to attach billions in international aid to recipients agreeing to impose anti-trans restrictions.

This includes social transition "at any age," attempting to export transphobia globally.

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum.

Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum.

Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum.

ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

And the ICE agents who murdered today.

Further delay only increases the chances of more murder.
