Considering they got together purely because she repeated his own dumb AI joke back at him, it seems like he was always looking for a Tamagochi girlfriend who could just act as a narcissistic mirror wearing a cute anime-girl mask.

Saw it at my local cinema the Sunday before Halloween, and enjoyed it immensely. At this point, I've seen enough adaptations of Frankenstein that I mostly watch them with an eye towards the choices made. I thought GDT's choices were excellent, and appreciated him putting his own stamp on it.

The accompanying text post doesn't really explain it beyond Jerry and Mike seemingly not understanding how to interact with nerds outside of the video-game sphere, and chalking it up to those *other* nerds being the weird creepy ones.
