I'm a queer, godless, leftist, cat collecting antifascist in NC. Prone to screaming into the void and self replies. This looks like a good hill to die on. No Pasarán!

“I am a king and my will is law” isn’t a clever distraction from what he’s doing, it’s the central underlying justification for everything he’s doing.
Dear media:

Please do not waste time hyperventilating about this dumb comment.

It’s intended to be a distraction from all of the damaging actions he’s taking.

Focus on those.

Yes, the employee at McDonald’s should be able to afford rent, groceries, bills, health care and retirement plans with their paycheck alone. That’s what jobs are for.

"This shit doesn’t happen in France and I’ll tell you why: the rich went too far and they cut all their heads off and now, when those in charge get above themselves, the French just stop working and everyone remembers who actually holds the real power.

At the moment, mansion-sized Asteroid 2024-YR4 has a one-in-fifty chance of hitting Earth in the next eight years.

Now might be a bad time to reduce spending on Science. Just sayin’.

Make your calls. Go to your town halls. Ask your state and local officials what they are doing under state and local law. Rest. Hydrate. Make soup for the hungry. Don’t let people tell you that you’re doing it wrong. Not a sprint. Not a marathon. A relay. Find your team. Thank you.

Yes! Resist! This gives me great joy.
Dozens of US middle school students at a U.S. military installation in Germany walked out as part of protests aimed at Trump's Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. The main organizer was a 13 year old girl. #3E #EndImpunity

😊This was so needed. Fuck fascism!
The MAGA agenda relies on fear and chaos. So when Kendrick Lamar uses a platform as big as the Super Bowl halftime show to say no, we are not afraid, that, in fact, we are a collective moving with a common purpose, it’s a direct hit to what MAGA needs to survive.

This is a major task that should have already been completed. Get on it Dems!
@rbhubbell.bsky.social says it’s time for the Dem MOC to implement a Shadow Cabinet. @timothysnyder.bsky.social has been sounding the alarm to do this. Robert’s suggestions who should be on it are in his article. We can add to it. @repjasmine.bsky.social comes to mind. Let’s do this! 202-224-3121.
We are not sheep. Get louder. Take action. Create a shadow cabinet.

This is the kind of crowds our outrage should be drawing. 200,000 protesters can't be ignored.
In Germany over 200,000 protestors in Munich gathered against the Musk backed far-right / neo-Nazi AfD ahead of the German election.

Thousands chanted "Save Democracy" and "Oppose Nazis" #3E

Yes! Occupy DC!
Remember Occupy Wall Street? Perhaps we need that kind of pressure in DC from the general populace. A visible, mobile, and intractable coalition of the outraged. Springtime is so nice here. Come visit. Bring a tent.

It think this is largely true. Hesitant only on "too late". It will indeed be too late for non-violent solutions only. The difference will the human cost and how long we struggle. Let's Occupy DC now while we might still have sympathy from those ordered to shoot us in the legs.
If people wait to mobilize until after Trump purges military leadership of non-loyalists, it will be too late.

I spent a few days & nights in Zuccotti Park with my kid in 2011. We slept with hundreds of others in that cramped space. It made me starkly aware of my own classism. That changed me. I think it changed a lot of people.

We need to Occupy DC now!
Boise Mutual Aid, Boise Kitchen Collective, and 2C Kitchen Collective are good examples of Boise (and 2C/Nampa) care work initiatives that are really inspiring and worth looking into and/or contributing to.

Occupy DC! We need to witness up close what is happening in our government and to protest when and where it's most effective. Physically occupying DC public space is imperative, both strategically and symbolically. It's a battle line that I think we need to draw.

Occupy and hold!

Occupy DC base camp was McPherson Square in 2011. I propose we start our new occupation there. When we're evicted, we move elsewhere, but never out of the city.

Occupy DC!
At what point do a couple million of us go to DC and just obstruct access to everything? Like the Occupy Wallstreet movement.

Occupy DC!
We need to Occupy DC. Well before we even think about Mars. (Haha) We need to make THEIR lives at least somewhat inconvenienced in comparison to ours. Elmo just drove past the Labor Dept the other day when, because PROTESTERS were there, he was afraid to go in. More of that. A lot more.
