Hello to all of my new followers! You should know that while I always try to be respectful, I am an Exmormon who sometimes will rant about the actions of the church and its members. I don’t like to criticize someone’s belief systems without their consent, so consider this your warning.
23 years ago these babies who thought they knew everything married each other. Now, 6 moves, 7 college degrees, one baby and two dogs later, they finally know enough to know how very little they know. Happy anniversary to my Lobster. Thanks for unlearning all the things we thought we knew with me.

“Highly processed food for poor people.” Well, guess what? I can’t possibly boycott every single horrid company, because they seem to be multiplying everyday, but I can absolutely boycott this one. Also, we aren’t “poor people,” but now my money will be going to help them instead. Big mistake. Huge.
Campbell Soup executive called its products food for "poor people," lawsuit claims
The complaint alleges that a Campbell executive made offensive remarks about company workers and mocked customers.

Got Fauci all loaded up in the car for his annual physical when the vet’s office called to cancel our appointment because of an emergency surgery. The poor nurse was bracing herself for an angry reaction and was surprised at how chill we were about it. That just made me sad.

This. I was raised by a southern woman who was all about appearances. It resulted in an eating disorder and severe perfectionism. When the pandemic hit, I stopped wearing makeup for the first time in 30 years. Now I only put it on occasionally and I feel reclaimed (plus my skin is better than ever).
Not giving in to MAGA beauty standards is an act of resistance.

The number of times we screamed “Shut up, Tom Brady,” during that Eagles game just now… That game and the announcing sucked. I’m going to drown my sorrows with banana pudding and a bubble bath now.

This is ingenious. Fortunately our crazy family all lives far from us, but I feel like this post has multiple applications. Remember… you can also just say no. It’s a complete sentence.
As we are now T minus 3.5 days from Thanksgiving, if you need to deploy Operation Avoid The Boundary Tramplers, tonight is when you post where they snoop about a headache or a queasy kid, or a funny noise from your car, or your pet acting strange, or a serious work issue or an unexpected paper.

Please admire the very first limes that I grew all by myself!!! Last spring I bought a lime tree, a lemon tree, and a mandarin orange tree and they fertilized each other, so the lime was orange inside and was the loveliest tasting thing I’ve had since leaving Florida.

I am taking part in this shopping blackout, and it has been picked up by No Kings, so it proves to be a big one. Join me!

The winner of the internet tonight. 😂

I know that this hilarious one sided bromance will be short lived, but for tonight, we needed this. 😂

Straight from the mango’s mouth. He doesn’t mind being called a fascist. Glad that’s settled. 👀
Reporter: Are affirming that you think Trump is a fascist?

Mamdani: We’ve spoken about—

Trump: That’s ok, you can just say it.

Bonus Fauci content because he just stole my husband’s (thankfully empty) coffee cup and is NOT avoiding the very appearance of evil. 😂 #dogsky #exmo #faucifriday

So they can go straight from their dads to the mission to their husbands. No education needed. Got it.

I was furious when they lowered the mission age for girls the first time and predicted a mass dumbing down of LDS women who wouldn’t finish college as a result, and that’s exactly what happened.

I canceled my Costco thanksgiving dinner because of terrible reviews, so now with very little notice, I’m making it myself. It’s time for that little dance we do every year between buying the fresh food too early or waiting too long and everything being sold out. I hate stores this time of year. 😠

Meanwhile in Utah… 😠 I would have taken the speaking assignment and stood up there and simply read the list of forbidden words and then asked the students why they thought their school was against those things, and then sat down. Make it weird.
This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

Here’s your annual reminder that you can say no. You can say no to family dinners with relatives who condone hatred. You can say no to delayed, germ infested holiday travel. You can say no to gazillions of boring parties and white elephant gifts and ridiculous extended family expectations.

Impeach and remove. Now.
One-third of the Republicans in Congress: “I didn’t see it.”

Another third: “He was only joking.”

The last third: “I agree with him.”

The absolute best. It just took us a solid hour to get through the first 20 minutes because we had to pause and discuss so many things. My favorite thing in the world is learning next to my husband and our boy.

I have seen it (hub’s department did a private advance screening), and I am deceased. Exmos, this movie is for us. The new Girl in the Bubble song destroyed me.
