This deserves a much more thoughtful review, but "Fes is a Mirror" is a truly thoughtful and beautiful book. I loved it from start to finish.
The writing, the characters, the setting, and especially the history were all captivating. Two weeks later I'm still thinking about this book.

I'm yearning for people to read the novella I just quietly released on a small press. There have been some delays shipping from the publisher. This book means so much to me, & my journey to seeing it published was so long. I'd love to see it out there so I can get reader feedback.

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

suitcase was 4.5 pounds too heavy but I refuse to pay even one extraneous cent on bullshit like this so I spent fifteen minutes rejigging everything between my case, my carry-on and my own person, result was a case that weighs PRECISELY 22 pounds, eat SHIT, airline rules
