Abortion Liberation Fund of PA needs emergency support for 6 people. The total needed for procedures and travel is $8,556. To help these folks, ALF-PA estimates they'd have to turn away more than *35* others w more typical needs.

We are writing today to ask for your help for 6 people who need extraordinary support to access the abortion care they need. Their stories are powerful and highlight how abortion access and economic justice are inextricably linked. Zara* is in her early 20's and working hard on a new start in life. After becoming unhoused for some time due to income and family troubles she was recently able to secure employment and housing. With an eviction record it was nearly impossible to find an apartment and she is now facing a high rent. While working three jobs she is barely getting by. Faced with an unexpected pregnancy, Zara must seek care in a hospital setting due to a chronic medical condition that needs monitoring, making the cost for care enormous. Zara must have $3230 to get the abortion care she needs. Lucy* is 15 years old and while they have the support of their family in getting an abortion, they do not have the resources to cover the $828 cost. Mia* is a single mother in her twenties and having difficulty making ends meet. After trying to secure additional licensing for her esthetician work, she has returned to a workplace with very little hours and subsequently lost her housing. Now she and her young child are staying with friends while trying to regain stability. Faced with an unexpected pregnancy, Mia has been trying to save up the funds and time has passed, increasing the cost of care. She now needs $998. Finally, between this week and last, three Pennsylvanians needed high pledges in order to get care in neighboring states due to the PA state gestational limit. Renee* needed $1500, and Maria* Kusa* each needed $1000. *names have been changed to protect privacy For ALF-PA to help with the $8,556 these folks need, we would have to turn away more than *35* other callers on our Help Line with more typical needs. We are turning to you today to ask for your support. Can you help them safely access the care they need?

Don't get trapped in an echo chamber where you can no longer relate to normies. Pretending that Charlottesville didn't massively push the average white person away is really stupid. We have a chance to actually make changes now that Trump has shifted the Overton window to the right, but we need to be smart and make the movement appealing to the AVERAGE white person: > Disavow all Nazi/KKK edgelord LARPers. There is no way to lose public support quicker than going around making Nazi salutes and holding Wiki torches while chanting "Jews will not replace us". This instantly makes the average person hate you. >Build a populist movement with realistic, incremental overt goals. Beth* and her husband Jason* are parents to a toddler and had recently relocated to save money and be near their support system as they welcomed their second child. Despite an uncomplicated 20 week appointment, they received news of a fetal anomaly a few weeks later. To avoid suffering for their child they are now seeking care to end the pregnancy. Beth must travel out of state for care due to the gestational limit in Pennsylvania and needs $3900. Aimeé* is a single parent of two young children and a graduate student. Finances are very tight as they are not able to work full time while studying and supporting a family member that is ill. Without family support in the US, Aimeé is scrambling to gather funds for their abortion and facing a high cost due to traveling out of state as they are now past the PA gestational limit. Aimeé needs $3000 in order to get care. Kathleen* is a single parent of two children. They are facing deep poverty with her only current income being $400 per month in cash assistance. While Kathleen has secured housing assistance to help get stabilized financially, she has been “chasing the fee” while trying to access abortion care for several weeks. The cost is now $1000. Finally, last week two Pennsylvanians need high pledges in order to get care in neighboring states due to the PA state gestational limit.
