I cannot even tell you the # of adopters I’ve heard say they chose international adoption precisely bc they believed risk of parents finding their children or kids searching and finding family to be lower to nonexistent. Whether they believed the children to be true orphans or not was irrelevant.

Unlike your cabbage patch doll, I didn't come with adoption papers. No adoptee does. In fact, all we're given is nothing but a new birth certificate that falsely lists our adopters as our "parents of live birth". You think we're given some sort of adoption file when we're 18?
