remember when a few random supposedly liberal law profs were like “i must defend the reputation of my good friend ilan wurman, who is arguing in good faith about a reasonable scholarly disagreement.” anyway you should never trust those people’s judgements again

everyone was right to attack his character and good faith at the time and they're right to attack it now. Ilan Wurman is a man of low character, a racist fascist pig. anyone still friends with him in light of this obvious truth is also of low character
I’m not an expert in this area—I’m just an insurance law nerd—so I’m not qualified to answer. It’s a great question for Ilan. My main point is that too many people aren’t asking him this but instead attacking his character, intelligence, or good faith.

there is a certain kind of crank who sincerely believes that the epstein case is the holy grail of the deep state and that if they can only get access to everything, all will be revealed. it's very funny that the deputy director of the FBI *is* that kind of crank

if you wanted to make it impractical to steal your(?) intellectual property you should not have turned it into a highly efficient compressed representation which you can extract with relatively high fidelity in less than fifty thousand queries

just absolutely insane that there are executives scream-whining about theft of their intellectual property because you can determine the empirical distribution of a model by sampling from it. let's not talk about how we made the model to begin with

I was really trying to hear her out in the beginning, but then I got to the part about how talking about the genocide and sharing stories of war crimes against children did more harm than good?? And the snarky tone of it all. Really sad.

This feels kind of dismissive and insulting to the source of this footage and reporting, which is Palestinian journalists and citizens who share it presumably to be seen. I don’t think blaming people who amplify the words & messages of victims of genocide for violence is fair.
