Watching the LOTR movies with my family. I was just a kid who was dragged along. I didn't know anything about LOTR unlike my mom and brothers who were fans. My mind was blown.

Just yesterday, I walked by the old cinema building (closed now) and I still remember the exact spot where we parked.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Ugh, Euphoria S3 is going to suck. I don't know why I'm so mad. I already gave up during S2. I just feel like it's a waste of the cast's time. Well, Levinson can have Sweeney, but the others deserve better.

I played #Hitman the other day to assassinate Slim Shady. They made the mom's spaghetti joke the theme of the level 😂 And of course, I went for the poison kill.

I only did the Arcade escalation (I always like to practice there first). And I couldn't find the key to the basement yet.

I'm almost tempted to watch this. I mean, I watched The Summer I Turned Pretty (well, S3 at least) and that was a fun thing to experience along with everyone else.

I just have so many other things on my plate right now.
‘Heated Rivalry’ has been renewed for Season 2.

FINALLY GOT IT!

I've taken well over 100,000 pelican pictures, maybe 200,000.

Over 20,000 the past month alone.

Today, I snagged "The One That Got Away"

In my infinite optimism, I give you, a very rare:

Fish success story.

Day 12

No book made me cry. But the one that made me the saddest was #WitchcraftForWaywardGirls. Grady Hendrix based the book on the accounts of his real-life relatives who had been sent to maternity homes as pregnant teenagers, so it hit quite hard.

Each year I'm less and less in the holiday mood. I haven't done a single festive activity yet. Not even watched a Christmas movie.

Honestly, why am I even talking about buying books?

I've scheduled oil change for my car tomorrow. That's an unpleasant expense for the end of the year.

Ugh, I hate that I'm so particular.
Is it silly of me to really go out of my way to avoid books with white covers?

Like, I really want to own Let the Right One In, but the cover options are really poor. I don't like white covers, but also trying to find something without the non-removable "now a movie!" stickers.

Day 11

Not sure which is unnecessary, but #TheHiddenBlade and #MyBeautifulEnemy by #SherryThomas did NOT work together. One is supposed to be the prequel, the other the main story, but going from 1 to 2 I was like who tf are these characters now??

Gen AI is the fucking plague.
Disney is reportedly investing $1 BILLION in OpenAI, licensing over 200 of their iconic characters for ChatGPT & Sora.

The exceptionally pretty books are letting me down. I need to start betting on uglier books.

There are several books that I really want to read, but I haven't bought them yet because they have white covers, which I hate, especially if it's minimalist style.

Tbh, I don't read non-prose very much at all. I would like to, even just to challenge or educate myself more. I'm sure I would find enjoyment in it once I figure out my preferences. But I'm currently just enjoying myself too much by reading novels.

I've been there. I swam in that pool. You would sit on the edge and have the waves from the sea to soak you or push you back in the pool as they crashed against the barrier.

But I wouldn't go if the weather was at all stormy, which I apparently was the case here. They ignored all the warnings.

I guess #InMyDreamsIHoldAKnife ?

I don't really have THAT strong feelings about the book, but my reaction to the killer reveal was just "oh..ok." and not "wow, I never would've guessed!".
