I think the difference is Solo was based on a throwaway line. It didn’t do anything for the main plot line. Rogue One describes a fairly critical event in the rebellion.

Obviously Jackson is very guilty of this but honestly the worst is Star Wars.
Lucas either didn’t know or didn’t care that parsecs are a measure of distance, it’s a throwaway brag from a pirate. But no, we have to have a whole movie explaining it..

A good story is as long as it needs to be. We don’t need to expand every detail, uncover every facet, some things can be left as mystery. A battle can be a sentence, a romance can be a look, a tragedy a word.
Brevity is as useful a technique as verbosity.

Ack, always a tad late...
In both my PDF and Praetorian squads, the flamer was the 2nd dude to get built (after the prototypes shown).
Other dude is a Marvel heroclix, and whenever I'd get duplicates, I've tried to turn them into characters from my oc superhero story.

I actually started the two flamers guy around 20 years ago, but did not finish him off until a few years ago when I got the guitar strings and Salamander bits, which is when I built the rest of the squad to go with him.
But he sat around, unfinished in a bitz bin, FOREVER.
