New Romulus and the Romulan Republic are in the video game Star Trek Online, not the series Star Trek: Picard.
Also, as was established on Picard, surviving Romulans located a planet, colonized it and named it New Romulus. It then became the new capital of the Romulan Republic. There is also a transwarp gate present in the system, which is in Sector Z-6 of the Beta Quadrant, near the Romulan Neutral Zone.

one of my kinda more crank, unworkable ideas is that there are jobs where the people who self-select into them are not the people who you want & that maybe we should just sortition people into those roles. like there are some things that attract people to policing that you don't want in cops.

Its interesting the difference between how trump talks about Canada and the way he talks about Greenland. With Canada he talks about making it a state and with Greenland he talks about making it a territory. I wonder why that is?

Gene Roddenberry designed Star Trek to depict a future in which racial and gender equality were the norm. Not only did he give his ship had a diverse crew, but he fought for the alien character, Spock, as a constant reminder of the variety of life and of the diversity of thought.

Can i just say I really don’t agree with this idea they fear puberty blockers cause it means trans people pass for cis better if they get them. That gives way too much credit to forethought and thinking about trans youth as potential trans adults to these transphobes. Its all about control over kids

We need to stop yapping about resistance and actually do it. Organize boycotts, strikes, and demonstrations against the Trump regime. Post in support of such actions if you can't personally participate. Make them feel the pressure. We the people have the power. We need to use it.
